Portrait of Paul About Paul

Paul Stockhoff

The Reader's Digest Version

Paul was the first child of Cory and Lori Stockhoff, and eagerly awaited. From the start he was a cheerful person, a delight to be with. He was joined two years later by his younger brother Adam.

Paul started preschool at Wagner Elementary, then went to Tuffree House (now called Parkview Elementary) both in Placentia. He started kindergarten at Rose Drive Elementary in Yorba Linda, where he remained through the fifth grade. As he progressed through Rose Drive, he was awarded the R.O.S.E. Award (Rocognition of Student Excellence, an academic award) four times and the Star Award (a citizenship-type award) three times. He also won several other awards, and enjoyed his time there.

Paul then went to Yorba Linda Middle School, where he attended all the honors classes offered. He won several awards there, too, and became well-known among his classmates for his drawing abilities.

The family (mom, dad, and Paul himself) all felt that Paul might benefit from joining the IB (International Baccalaureate, an international honors program) program during his freshman year in high school, so he ended up moving to Valencia High School. He did pretty well in his first year and would have started his sophomore year in the fall of 2005.

Paul was widely travelled, visiting museums, parks, and towns all over California and in Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Hawai`i, Nebraska, Alberta (Canada), Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

Of course, it's difficult to sum up a life is just a few paragraphs. Here's some other remembrances of Paul:
